Default TN: Buster, Bourgogne, Becker, and wines I can't alliterate

Betsy got back from Maine Wednesday, that night we went to park for concert.. Lucky again with weather- 70s and breezy. Nice jazz quartet (drummer is a good friend), nice group of friends congregated. I had made lobster salad with a citrus dressing, and spicy cold noodles topped with pork. We also had cheeses (pont leveque and forme dambert); friends shared fruit, beef carpaccio, steak, and more cheeses.

Wow, just lovely. Full, rich, and balanced, bright acids over pear and green apple fruit, a touch of lemon zest, and vibrant minerally finish. Wonderful, why didnt I buy more? A-

1990 J.B. Becker Wallufer Oberberg Riesling Kabinett Halbtrocken (Rheingau)
Mango and green apple, some ginger, a bit of petrol. Could use a bit more acid zip, but lively fruit for 27. B/B+

2015 Jane et Sylvain Bourgogne rouge
Red plum and cherry, a little herb, quite pleasant. B

2016 Texier Chat Fou rose
Dry, crisp, light. Red fruit, easy going. B/B-

2015 Wyatt Chardonnay
Vanilla, hint of butterscotch, ripe cantaloupe and tropical fruits, short, not my style. C+

Great night. No wine Thursday with bluefish, cauliflower, and carrots

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice.Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
