1996 Chateau Montelena Estate Napa Cabernet
Opened my last two bottles this weekend with grilled prime beef tenderloin. Very slightly brickish cast in the decanter. Aroma of cooked fruit and cassis. Smooth and rich on the palate. Deep flavors of cassis, blackberry, espresso and black cherries. Tannins are well resolved and the wine was elegant and balanced. "A"
