Default Back from Napa

I was in Napa last week for a few days. It was 100+ degrees. The chardonnay and Pinot were being harvested and as usual it was day to day with most winemakers as they were pondering pick or wait. I was at Katheryn Hall, Faila, Crocker Star, Far Niente, Reynolds Family, Orin Swift, Herb Lamb, Regussi, Frank Family, Nickel and Nickel and Cliff Lede. Tasted a ton of 2013's which were pretty tasty and had the opportunity to try the new Far Niente brand Bella Union which is a Rutherford property they acquired recently. Tasted like Rutherford...dusty with red and blackfruits abounding.
