2012 Aubert Carneros Chardonnay
With grilled Copper River King Salmon and garden greens salad. I opened 2012 Aubert Carneros Chardonay last night. Pale yellow, slightly hazy. Bright nose of lemon zest, honeydew melon, faint vanilla note. Medium weight on the palate, orchard fruits, pear especially, citrus, a bit of orange and slight saline minerality. Cali Cahard for sure but with enought acidity to cut the richness of the salmon. "B+"
