Default 2006 Chteau Croizet-Bages

2006 Chteau Croizet-Bages ****

Nice earthy mineral wine. The primary flavours are very subdued, with the medium long finish of blackcurrant, stones and earth. reminds me a lot of beringer knights valley.

My wife didnt like it, though, so I opened an Ironstone Reserve Zinfandel for her, which was just what she needed. That one was powerful, dark fruits, lots of oak.

Consequently, more Pauillac for me to savour that nice finish.
