As seen from the vineyard journal of one of the well known estate vineyards of argentina (Piatteli Vineyards), Three things can happen to an aging Malbec wine.. 1.Improve
2.Stay the Same
3.Decline
So "The optimal way to tell when a wine is at its best is to try the same vintage at different times as it ages."
