Default 2008 Feudo Maccari "Saia"

I was determined not to like Nero d'Avola as I have had so many bad ones lately but this wine surprised me at a Italian grand tasting. Deep, rich, with dark fruits and long finish. The downside was the cost at $35.99 but I did pick up 2 bottles for later drinking. Needed more than the pizza being served.
