Opened last night as a random pick by my wife to drink with dinner of
grilled chicken thighs. 1997 Poderi Colla Barolo Dardi Le Rose Bussia
I bought a few bottles on release for around $50. Still fairly dark
red in the glass with a hint of brick at the edges. Nose of tart
cherry, and typical Nebbiolo tar. A bit richer on the palate than I
assumed. Plenty of red fruits and cherry with a fair amount of
mineral and anise. Much better than anticipated. "B"
