Default [TN} 2009 Etna Rosso

Tonight, we had some spaghetti with the marinara sauce that I made
yesterday. Jean wanted a red wine, so we opened:

2009 Tenuta della Terre Nere Etna Rosso
nose: tart cherries, minerals, a hint of tar
palate: firm acidity, medium body, no hint of oak, fresh

Altogether a satisfying, if young, wine. From the impression I
received, it's easy to believe that the Nerello Mascalese that this wine
is made from is a relative of Sangiovese.

I really like this, though rest of producer's lineup gets a bit international for me.
