Default 2002 Vall Llach Priorat

In keeping with my plan to plow through some older stock I brought up
a bottle of 2002 Vall Llach Priorat which is a blend of 50% Carignan,
35% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon from Spain's Priorat. Medium
red in the glass with fairly complex nose of red berries, currants and
wet gravel. The wine was fairly concentrated on release but seems a
bit lighter now with smooth plum and red raspberry notes followed by
vanilla and cedar. Nice wine from Jorge Ordonez but seems to be
fading. "B+"
