Jean pulled a late night last night and wanted white wine upon her
return. In anticipation of this event, I'd chosen two whites and
chilled them. Of the two, she chose:

2008 Dom. de la Pépière Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie
nose: stones, quietly appley
palate: moderately acidic, clarity, minerals

It has probably been 3-4 months since our last bottle of this wine, and
in that time it has grown noticeably less crisp and precise. As this
bottle is sealed with a fake cork (for the last time, according to its
importer Joe Dressner) it is not a candidate for long-term aging.
Still, it is hard to find a more pleasing wine for its price ($14-15).
