Default leakage from new vintage port

I noticed that a bottle of Croft 2000 vintage port has leaked. This
should compromise it's ability to age well. But -- Since it's Porto it
shouldn't matter as much as if it were regular wine, right? Should I
open it now?

I opened it. Too young, but interesting none the less.
