I would like to buy a nice liqueur or wine decanter set for a friend
and wondered if some of the OP's could please recommend something
stylish and desireable in a moderate price range?

Is the choice of decanter and glasses a matter of personal taste or do
decanters go in and out of style?

I know that my friend likes cranberry and amethyst glass but are these
types safe to use (lead?) or should one only consider newly
manufactured items? If vintage or antique is an option, is cut or
pressed glass a more popular look?

What shapes are the best? Square? Rectangular?

With glasses or without? What type of glass would be best for someone
who likes to serve chambord?
