Default TN: Fleurie

David particularly loves almost any Asian food, so we did a pan-Asian
meal to celebrate his return- slow cooked ribs with a Hoisin based
sauce, Cambodian-style grilled corn, rice with nori and furikake, and
a mizuma salad. Wine was the 2007 Vissoux (Chermette) "Poncie"
Fleurie. Some reports of this shutting down, but I found it open and
giving. Not quite as fleshy as the '05 of this (I don't recall trying
the '06), more a classic cru middleweight. Red sappy fruit, a little
black cherry, earth, refreshing, will get more. B+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent
wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't
drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no
promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.*
