'06 Morgon
When the cork says "mise en bouteilles dans la region de production" it is
hard to have much in the way of expectations, but this Morgon Domaine Mont Chavy from DuBoeuf is quite nice and was a good QPR at around $12US soft and fruity (bright reds one of those Gamay that drinks like Pinot kind of wines) yet with a bit of tannin on the end to keep everything clean. I don't see this getting graceful with age but it is a great comfort food wine right now. Pizza, meatloaf, burgers all made a bit more elegant by its presence at the table - and not bad sipping pre dinner either. -- Joseph Coulter, cruises and vacations www.josephcoulter.com 877 832 2021 904 631 8863 cell |

OTOH, many, many corks are bought branded this way, quite obviously a standard popular and wide-spread branding, so there can always be fine surprises (as with your Morgon). M. |
