[TN] 2001 Ridge Pagani Ranch
Tonight, dinner consisted of BBQ baby back ribs from the smoker, roasted
sweet potato and salad. To accomany this meal, Jean chose the following wine: 2001 Ridge Zinfandel Pagani Ranch nose: pencil lead, plums, raisins, tar palate: ripe fruit, acids, medium body Jean wanted a Zinfandel to accompany the ribs (rubbed with a fairly spicy dry rub) but avoided the more complex ones in the cellar. Instead, we got a very ripe (but not overripe) and direct Zin. Not bad with the ribs. Mark Lipton -- alt.food.wine FAQ: http://winefaq.cwdjr.net |
