Default Marietta Cellars Old Vine Red

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at a local, somewhat upscale,
restaurant. She looked at the wine list and picked out a Marietta
Cellars Old Vine Red, Lot Number Forty One (Geyserville, CA). With
her sophisticated palate, she recognized many nuances in the wine.
I just said "yum!". This wine is probably a "restaurant pour", but I
asked the manager where I could purchase some. He said it's available
at Byerly's, a Minnesota food (and wine in some locations) chain.
A very pleasant wine, and at $35 in the restaurant I would expect it
to be very affordable.

The Marietta Old Vine is usually a good bottle, and usually under $10
retail. But as lots change style can range greatly, with a few lots
seeming to have some residual sugar. Can be disconcerting. Thanks for
note on 41!
