Szechwan pepper
I am planning to try a recipe that calls for Szechwan peppercorns. I
have been unable to locate them and I recall hearing something on The Splendid Table a while back stating that they were no longer available in the US due to some sort of import restriction. What would be an appropriate substitute (for now)? What would be a good source (for the future)? Thanks! -- jmk in NC |

I picked some up in Chinatown in Boston last weekend. -- Richard W Kaszeta http://www.kaszeta.org/rich |
