Vegetarian Cooking

Meat-eaters take great delight in saying that there is not enough protein in vegetarian cooking, in fact, it is usually one of the first questions they ask a vegetarian - what do you eat for protein. Of course we do need some and pregnant women and young children need more than others. It is a misnomer that we need a lot of protein in our diet.

Surely fruits does not contain protein and the protein found in vegetables is fairly low, thus for deriving proteins, we always use animals meat as a stake....

There are plenty of ways for vegetarians to get their protein. Just have a good diet that includes some beans, oatmeal, whole wheat, fruits and vegetables, soy milk, etc.
I almost never see vegetarians that are overweight or very unhealthy. You can make it work it you try.

I've left a tag to some vegetarian food storage that has protein shakes and other products to help provide protein for vegetarians.

Protein can also be available in seafoods, white-meat poultry, milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, beans, pork tenderloin, soy and lean beef.

I read that eating even a small serving of meat every day can increase your chances of getting pancreatic cancer by 20%. I think veg is the way to go. Here is the full story http://www.instituteofhealthsciences...tor/#more-2728

I'm Vegan more to promote my nondependendence upon other animals. It just seems downright parasitic the way we as a race feed on them. There is also some opposition to the Corporations that overwork it.
