Egg-less Tofu Salad
For a Tofu Salad that tastes like it was made with hard-boiled eggs but is
totally vegan, use Black Salt instead of regular salt in the recipe. You can obtain Black Salt from an India store and it is Auryvedic. One recipe could use extra firm tofu (drained),Vegenaise or an egg-less Mayo, Black Salt, sweet pickle relish and turmeric for color. Or use your favorite Eggless Tofu Salad recipe but use Black Salt in it. You'll be amazed at how much the Black Salt will make this taste like it was made with hard-boiled eggs!! |

For the Avocado "Egg Salad" : Mash up a ripe avocado with a fork, add sweet
pickle relish, about a tsp. or so of eggless mayo and Black Salt. Then adjust ingredients according to your taste, adding enough Black Salt to make it taste like boiled eggs. Do not use any other salt but Black Salt. Black Pepper could be added. This makes a healthy "egg" salad with good cholesterol instead of the bad with the addition of the Auryvedic medicine aspect of the Black Salt. Put pit back on top of the mixture to store and keep the mixture from turning dark. == <mod snip> == "C.
