Applesauce Cake

Applesauce Cake

1/2 cup oil
1 1/2 cups unrefined sugar
1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
2 cups white flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp nutmeg

mix oil and sugar well, add applesauce and mix in the dry ingredients.
Beat until smooth. Pour into an oiled and floured 8 inch cake pan or
angel food cake pan and bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes, or slightly
longer if using a loaf pan. Cake is even better the next day.
