Vegan (alt.food.vegan) This newsgroup exists to share ideas and issues of concern among vegans. We are always happy to share our recipes- perhaps especially with omnivores who are simply curious- or even better, accomodating a vegan guest for a meal!

I was on that board for a while.

I knew about grumpy*******s.com, but I had no idea it was that bad.
Some old guy who was angry and offended as a hobby told me about it
once, but I never bothered to go there.

The rest of the review seems spot on, except for what it implies about
the owner of veggieboards. I guess it is his doing that people trolling
for arguments run his board, but I have to say I had many conversations
with him online and he seemed like a decent, mature person.

That and I did have many conversations with some cool people despite the
larger amount of immature people who post there.

What I found interesting was that the maturity levels didn't always
correspond to age. The board was mostly populated by 20 somethings.
Some of the teenagers on the board were the most mature people there and
some of the 30 somethings ( and older ) were the most childish.
