Even granting that the new ratio is true, there are the most cds from meat production. Except of course for that cow of yours that grazes and doesn't ever eat hay or crops! If you want to discuss my pot advocacy we should probably take it over to one of those alt.pot groups. And by the way I do eat the hulled seed. It's tasty and has all 3 omega oils. |

That is not available year round to you, or to me. Grass-fed beef is. It, like your mono-culture factory farmed veggies are easily available year round. Your supposed 'hand grown' veggies are not. Besides, you have already proven that you cannot be inconvenienced enough to actually take the time and effort to grow any amount of your own foods. You are too convenience driven and consumer-oriented to actually make the lifestyle changes that would entail. That's worthy of discussion and consideration since homegrown produce cuts down on CDs whether one eats meat or not; it's congruent with Professor Davis' thesis. The issue is how many vegans, in your experience, have their own gardens? Vegans tend to be young urban women, not farmers. From observation in this group and from other vegan forums, they also tend not to have gardens. They're almost exclusively dependent on what's grown commercially and sold at stores (though some get their produce via subscription). Anyway, compiled vegan demographics: Most likely to be female and under 35 -- 78% of vegans went vegan between the ages of 16 and 34, with 52% between the ages of 16 and 24.
