Default Shoe question

I've got another vegan question that I figured I'd ask since everyone was
so helpful on the soy milk question. Are the Converse All Star (Chuck
Taylor's) canvas shoes "vegan"? I realize that the bulk of them are made of
canvas, but I didn't know if there was any hidden animal ingredients that
were being used in the glue, sole, etc.

Is this a problem in other shoes? Are there usually hidden ingredients in
seemingly "vegan" shoes? Thanks for any and all info.

James
