Vegan (alt.food.vegan) This newsgroup exists to share ideas and issues of concern among vegans. We are always happy to share our recipes- perhaps especially with omnivores who are simply curious- or even better, accomodating a vegan guest for a meal!

Default Need book and web site links

All -- I'm looking for some good web site links as well as a few books to
suggest to some friends. I've already recommended Becoming Vegan but can't
for the life of me think of any sites or other books.

Suggestions?

There's a book called Vegetarian cooking for dummies. It has some good
recipes in it.

It shows a vegetarian "food pyramid" and other stuff that's pretty useful.

What specifically are you looking for? Recipes? Nutrition? Childcare? What?

Here's a good book list:

And here's a good start:

Best website: www.vegsource.com
Best Book: "Being Vegan" by Joanne Stepaniak
You can access her website through Vegsource. The link to her homepage is
on the right side of the Vegsource homepage, while the link to her discussion
board is on the left (look for the "veganism" board). Tell 'em Tex sent
you.

Hope that helps!
