I'm posting from my husbands google account but just wanted to say how
much I've enjoyed this group that I discovered over the New Year.
Focused questions. Responsive answers. A wonderful range of comments.

Thanks to all of you who made it that way! Now why can't the other
groups be this nice?

yes the 'signal to noise' ratio here is very high. One of the few
newsgroups where that is the case.

upon request. Disagreement is handled with very little acrimony, if at all,
pointing to a civilized restraint which is rare in any environment, let
alone a Usenet News Group.

The scarcity or absence of trolls & me-tooers is refreshing. Especially
noteworthy is the rarity of blatant or off-the-wall spam.

I do appreciate this group myself.
