Brief Review Of A Very Good Green

A month or so ago, Scott (Yunnan Sourcing) included a small sample of
a Spring (Green) Mao Feng in my pu-erh box. It was so delicious, I
ordered more.
The Yunnan Green Mao Feng is robust, with subtle, floral overtones.
Very silky and smooth and holds up well to many (4-5 - a lot for a
green) infusions. No astringency, with no bitterness or heavy vegetal
flavours. Fragrant throughout and nutty in the middle infusions. A
nice, fresh, grassy finish. Keep the water to the cooler end of tepid
and infuse a bit longer for a refreshing sip.
A very unique flavour and unlike any other greens I have tasted this
spring.
5*****! Excellent!
Big, curling bright green leaves.
It was relatively reasonable.
If you are interested, he has some more.

Brief Review Of A Very Good Green

I throw all my samples into a goodies box. I don't keep track of
where they came from. I just gave up on trying to keep up with the
samples versus what I was ordering. They're a special case because
when I find one I truly enjoy its almost gone. I appreciate it that
much more especially when I know the last pot is it. I have one sheng
sample that is a couple of years old. I'll really be sorry when that
is gone.

The last box took two weeks. Occasionally, I wait three or four. Four
(rarely). Always, well-packed. Prices are good and he seems to have a
knack for picking excellent teas.
Someone on another list (in reply to a similar posting by myself)
suggested trying his Vietnamese green. Never having had that, I may
give it a go as well.
