Albino salmon are not a myth. All animals have sports that are born with
albinism- including humans. The rarity of albinism in a species depends on
whether or not those animals breed and pass on the genetic 'flaw'.
Albino salmon are not any stranger than regular salmon. They're simply
salmon that don't have the coloration as regular salmon. And unlike the
Loch Ness Monster or Bigfooot, scientists can take non-blurry pictures of
them and even keep them in a lab.

You seem to believe that all 'outdoorsy' types know everything about nature-
and that if they don't know a certain thing, they aren't outdoorsy. I have
an uncle who knows pretty much everything there is about the woods in the
Blue Ridge mountains. He could tell you more about deer than most certified
experts on the subject. If you came with him on a hunt, he'd shock you with
his knowledge about the fish in the local rivers, too- but he doesn't know
dick about the animal population in British Columbia.
Just because you're no expert in the fish that swim in Virginia's New River
doesn't mean that you're not outdoorsy. It just means you know about your
local water system. You should assume the same about other folks. I'm not
an outdoorswoman, but I know more about fish that are caught in the New York
City region than does my boyfriend, who fishes freshwater in PA. that
doesn't make him an idiot. It makes him a specialist.

My name used to be My Serene Highness but since my posts and I started to
smell bad I decide to change my name to Tea. I think it sounds much more
prim and proper and quite sophisticated if I say so myself.

I am actually a dried up old prune bimbo but I hope you don't hold that
against me.

I hate Sam Salmon.

Send me a note @

Thank You!

Default Proof The Loch Ness Monster Exists!!!

Sad to say for you I'm not only experienced in Salt and Fresh water
fishing here in British Columbia-a place many times larger and with a
greater diversity than both West Virginia and New York combined.

I also fish Ontario-much larger than BC-and have lived/fished in both
Mexico and Costa Rica extensively these past 2 decades.

As well I've done 3 trips to the Caribbean, one to the South Pacific
and have also fished both Ecuador and Colombia-that is to say I have
detailed knowledge of tropical sportfishing both Inshore and Offshore.

My 3 decades of experience here in BC has never revealed even a hint
of any albino Salmon-the idea is as ludicrous as your weak minded and
puerile post.

Is it true that over 40% of streams and lakes in the USA are too
polluted to drink?

Wow.......where can we all line up to kiss your ass?
So please tell us how many fishing programs you have on TV.
Or at least the titles of your fishing books so that at least we can
go read about what a Gods-gift-to-Fishing you are.
Where can I buy a Sam Salmon signature series road and reel?
I am so impressed with your expertise that I could just shit.

I'm also impressed with your keen reasoning ability. Naturally if you have
personally fished the BC area during the course of 30 years and you have
never
seen an albino salmon, then surely they can't exist.
Check out this page, but ignore the photo in the middle of the albino
fry

It also dpes deal with the essential issue- that you can know a lot about
fishing in one area and know nothing about another.

And I didn't say 'West Virginia'. West Virginia is fairly small. The Blue
Ridge Mountain zone covers southern Virginia, Tennesee, West Virginia, and
Kentucky. Not exactly tiny.

Maybe in the backwoods where you are they don't have maps of the US.

very likely.

I wouldn't dip a cup into the white river in arkansas (which is
perfectly clear and about 50F and full of trout, smallmouth bass, etc)
and drink straight from it either.

I know I wouldn't go down to the Mississippi river dip a glass in and
drink it.... but that's where New Orleans gets it's drinking water.

nor would I dip a cup into any of the stock ponds (as in ponds for
livestock, cattle and horses) and take a drink.

doesn't seem to hurt the fish or the frogs in the ponds though.

never had a girlfriend). I'm just sayin..

Whether you are in the United States or in Canada or anywhere you shouldn't
be
drinking straight from the stream anyway without either boiling it or at
least
treating it with iodine unless you're really think diarrhea is fun.
