Hanoi Cooking Centre-44 Chau Long, Hanoi

The Hanoi Cooking Centre is a purpose built cooking school, café and retail outlet.
Hanoi Cooking Centre offers hands-on cooking classes and short courses in a relaxed atmosphere, designed by renowned Melbourne chef Tracey Lister, co-author of KOTO - A Culinary Journey Through Vietnam.
Situated at 44 Chau Long Street, nestled on the edge of Hanoi's famous old quarter and close to picturesque Truc Bach and West Lake, the Hanoi Cooking Centre offers visitors a truly unique Vietnam experience, one to treasure, and share with friends and family.
With Tracey Lister, Linh Dinh Phung, and Chef Lan, one of the new breed of Vietnamese chefs (& also a KOTO Graduate) discover new and exciting flavours, ingredients and foods.
Develop a deep appreciation of the flavours, history and culture of Vietnamese cuisine by taking one of the Hanoi Cooking Centre’s Vietnamese Cooking Classes or Street Eats and Market Tours:
Vietnamese Cooking Classes
Ha Noi and the Northern Highlands – featuring dishes that are truly Vietnamese, but highlight the Chinese culinary influence in Hanoi and the Northern Highlands
Food from the coast - dishes built around fresh fish and the creative use of aromatics and spices, not to mention, for the Vietnamese, the comforting aroma of nuoc mam, fish sauce.
Vietnamese Street Food - take home some of the hustle and bustle of Ha Noi's unique street life by learning how to make some of the delicious food you have enjoyed on the streets of Vietnam.
Vegan Tofu cookery - Vietnam produces some of the best tofu in the world, so make the most of it. In this class we will make some tofu dishes rarely seen outside the pagodas.
Spring Rolls - Not just prawn and pork. The humble spring roll reflects the changes in Vietnamese cuisine as you travel the length of Viet Nam. In this class you will prepare the hearty seafood and mayonnaise from the north to the fragrant rolls of the south.
BBQ and salads - On the hot and humid summer days in Viet Nam there is always the faint smell of smoke in the air coming from the countless charcoal braziers on which family and restaurant meals are prepared. I would like to present to you some Vietnamese dishes that perfectly suits a casual dining style.

Street Eats & Market Tour
See, taste and discover the local food scene by experiencing some of Hanoi’s quintessential street food. Experience a bustling local market where your chef will demystify the local produce, and encourage you to taste along the way. Tracey, Linh and Lan will share some of their favourite eating places in Ha Noi with you to explore further.

Classes and tours are available daily from Monday through to Saturday and cater for groups up to 16 people.

International Cooking Classes, Corporate Team Building Classes, and Cooking Classes for Kids are also available at the Centre. Hanoi Cooking Centre shop, offering for a range of locally made products, teas, spices, aprons, Vietnamese culinary tools and books; and the courtyard café offering daily specials made from the freshest possible ingredients and best coffee in Hanoi; are open Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
