Default Top restaurants in Tucson and Santa Barbara?

I'll be visiting Tucson and Santa Barbara this fall.

Any recommendations for top restaurants in both areas
are greatly appreciated.

Isn't Santa Barbara one of the Uni (sea urchin roe) capitals?

No preference. Just good food. High-end or low-end restaurant... it
doesn't matter.

I imagine there's good tex-mex in Tucson.

For Mexican food, there is Mi Nidito which is where President Clinton ate
when he came to town. Personally I prefer El Charro. That place makes the
best Carne Seca.
If you like prime rib or a good steak there is Chad's. That is also one of
my favs. For good smoked food there is Smokin'. Great Asian food, but very
very spicy is Seri Melaka. As you can see I like to eat!!!

Best steak!

Little Abner's
I was eating there when I was knee high to a toad in the 50s
In fact I knew Abner and his wife
Of course they are gone now but the steaks are still one of the best
there is!

I've never even heard of Lil Abner's before so looked it up on computer.
It's over on Silverbell. Can you tell me something about the place? I am
always looking for new restaurants. It's not on the order of the Sizzler or
something of that nature is it? Have you ever been to Chad's? I ate at
Sullivans the other night for my birthday. It's supposed to be so great.
What a disappointment. I had to return my prime rib twice and then opted for
a different meal. Changed it to steak that was mostly fat. Left most of it.
Cost us 180.00 to boot. Course we did indulge in wine and spirits. Service
was good but that's about it. Would never ever go back.
