Open Source and Free Restaurant software - anyone interested?
Hi!
I'm developing an open source and free (as in speech AND as in beer) software for restaurants. It allows restaurant or any other similar activity to easily take orders (via handhelds or via any pc), print them in the right place (kitchen, bar, etc) and automatically manage the stock and the accounting. It has been developed together with an Italian restaurant, but now I'd like to have some new point of view. Have you got any idea of what you'd like to have in a software like this? Is there anybody interested in a stuff like this, that would like to help the developement? If you want you can give it a try he waiter interface: http://www.fabiolinux.com/handyrestaurant/ management and accounting: http://www.fabiolinux.com/handyrestaurant/manage/ The management is still under translation, so for the next few days you'll find it in a mixed italian/english style, then it will be possible to easily choose a language. The license is the GNU General Public License (GPL). The software runs on any server with Apache and PHP installed, and is fairly easy to install, if you know a bit about linux or servers. (I'm working on making some kind of LiveCD for demos). Thank you for any help or suggestion, Fabio 'Kilyerd' De Pascale http://sourceforge.net/projects/handyrestaurant/ ps: if you want to contact me, please do it via the sourforge page. |
