the Gallagher's Steakhouse and Oyster Bar Restaurant Dynasty;
Restaurant Staff Threaten Strike

NEW YORK, NY.--Nov. 4, 2003--

It's been a difficult year for Marlene Brody, wife of famed NYC
restaurateur Jerome Brody. Restaurant workers at Gallagher's
Steakhouse and the Oyster Bar voted to strike Oct. 25, and may strike
at any moment. Bryan Reidy, the general manager of Gallagher's and
president of her failing franchising operation, has apparently
departed from the business after 16 years on the job. Three
Gallagher's franchises closed down this year.

Local 100, the New York City Restaurant Workers' Union, launches an
independent look at Brody on the website, www.eyeonbrodybusiness.info.
"Independent Information and Analysis on Marlene Brody's Gallagher's
Steakhouse, Grand Central Oyster Bar and Franchising"

This website outlines Brody's business relationships involving a
bankruptcy in Texas, a proposed deal too costly to sustain in Missouri
and the double departure of Gallagher's from New Jersey. The site
provides public documents, industry reports and interviews with the
staff of Gallagher's and the Oyster Bar.

Excerpts from Eye on Brody Business. Info:
"The Great Restaurant Era ended in 2001. Jerome Brody died, leaving
his wife Marlene behind with Gallagher's Steakhouse, the Grand Central
Oyster Bar, and a struggling franchising operation."

"In the new era, franchises fail and franchise development deals often
go wrong. A string of franchises have fallen apart from 2000 to 2003.
At Gallagher's on 52nd St., and the Oyster Bar, deep within Grand
Central Station, Marlene Brody remains."
