Water Ice Recipes - Philadelphia Style
Hi,
I live in the Philly area and have been trying my hand at making Water Ice. Philadelphia style which is less ice crystals and more creamy. I have not had good luck on finding sites through the browsers and found a couple older recipes on usenet but can not find one that works good. Usually it turns out too sweet, I was doing 2c sugar 2c water 1.5 cups of fruit but the end effect is usually something that would throw a diabetic into a coma. Way too sweet. My latest searches have some recipes calling for 2c sugar to 1c water and several pints of fruit. I'm looking for some srot of professional quality recipe since I am tired of spending $2.50 a pop for them at the place down the street. Any help is appreciated, thanks. Karyn |
