Homemade Spaghetti Sauce
Low Calorie Recipe Ingredients: 1/2 teaspoon olive oil 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced 1 cup bell peppers, chopped 1/2 cup onions, chopped 14-1/2 ounces crushed tomatoes, undrained 8 ounces no-salt-added tomato sauce 2 tablespoons pizza seasoning 1-1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon granulated sugar 1 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon basil 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Directions: To prepare sauce, heat oil in a skillet, cook mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions until tender. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, pizza seasoning, salt, sugar, oregano, basil, and black pepper. Simmer all ingredients until bubbling or 15 minutes. Let cool. Pour sauce over pasta or use in other recipes calling for spaghetti sauce. Makes 6 servings.
