Bourbon Butter Basting Sauce:
1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter 1 cup apple cider 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice 1/2 tsp salt or more as needed 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 cup bourbon Melt the butter in a medium size saucepan over medium heat. Add the cider, sugar, lemon juice, 1/2 tsp salt and pepper. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil. Boil until slightly thickened, about 5 min. Remove from heat and stir in the bourbon.
