Hi, I recently discovered that Ox Cheek can be eaten.
I obtained some but were heavily coated in saliva and
hard to wash, so I was put off by them. I boiled them
and gave it to my pets.
Is there a proper or easy way of washing the saliva,
can they be eaten, are there any recipes?
Can you respond by email?
Thanks
George

A couple of years ago I dropped by Central Market in Houston during
their Hatch Chile Festival. I picked up some peppers and some recipe
cards. There was one dish that called for stuffing roasted peppers with
cream cheese, currants, pinons and I think something else. Then they're
placed in the oven for awhile. When the peppers are done (heated until
the cheese melts, I guess) they are supposed to be drizzled with
something called "Milkoo." I never found a "Milkoo" product anywhere. I
have no idea what it is. I drizzled melted pineapple flavored cream
cheese over the peppers. It was very tasty.
The pepper festival is on again for the next 2 weekends, but my recipe
card is long gone. If you are familiar with this recipe, can you post
it?
And what the heck is "Milkoo"?
Thanks.

I'm looking for the cover recipe for the July 1988 issue of Chocolatier
magazine. It is a chocolate raspberry swirl cake made in a bundt pan,
with the center filled with fresh raspberries.
Thanks in advance,
Sharon
