Default 5-Ingredient Stuffing


5-Ingredient Stuffing

Prep 5 minutes
Bake about 30 minutes
Makes about 8cups

1 package (14 to 15 ounces) cubed seasoned stuffing mix
1 can (14 to 141/2 ounces) chicken broth
4 tablespoons margarine or butter
1 package (7 ounces) chopped mixed dried fruit (1 1/4 cups)
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper

Preheat oven to 325'F. Place stuffing mix in 13" by 9" glass baking dish.
In 3-quart saucepan, combine broth, margarine, fruit, pepper, and 11/2
cups water; heat to boiling over high heat until margarine melts. Pour
over stuffing mix; toss to coat. Bake stuffing, uncovered, 30 to 40
minutes or until heated through and top is browned.

Each 1/2 cup: About 165 calories, 4 g protein, 29 g carbohydrate, 4 g
total fat (1 g saturated), 3 g fiber, 0 mg cholesterol, 515 mg sodium.

Editor Note: Brands a/stuffing vary If you like a moister version, drizzle
with a little extra water or chicken broth.
