Default Kelsey's Christmas Wassail

William Kelseys Christmas Wassail

Serves/Makes: 12

4 cups water
2 cups orange juice
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup honey
2 Tbsp ginger ground or fresh diced root
2 Tbsp nutmeg ground
2 Tbsp allspice ground or berries
2 Tbsp cloves ground or whole
2 Tbsp cinnamon ground or 8 cinnamon sticks

Bring to a boil and then simmer for 30 min, water, ginger, nutmeg,
allspice, cloves and cinnamon. Strain potion through a fine cheese cloth
or sieve into a larger container. Stir in orange juice, lemon juice and
honey. This wassail is good at room temperature, cold and best re-warmed.

For adults one can add, brandy or a dry red wine or sherry to spice it up.
