Smoked Turkey and Corn Chowder
Nick Sundberg Substituting smoked turkey for bacon makes this lighter than the traditional recipe. Serves 4-6 6 ounces Smoked turkey breast, diced 1 medium Onion, diced 2 stalks Celery, diced 1 large Potato, diced 4 cups Chicken broth 1/4 cup Green chiles, mild, chopped (canned) 1 pound Corn (frozen) 1/2 cup Cream Salt and pepper to taste Place all ingredients (except cream) in a soup pot. Slowly bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the vegetables are soft (about 1 hour). Whisk in the cream and simmer for 20 minutes longer.
