Grammy's Amazing Cheese Ball

"This is the absolute BEST cheese ball ever! Great for holiday get-togethers."
Original recipe yield: 6 to 8 servings.

1 cup chopped peanuts
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
8 ounces processed American cheese
8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce

Combine peanuts and parsley in a small bowl and set aside.
Combine cheeses, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce in large bowl.
Mix well. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Form chilled cheese mixture into ball shape. Roll in peanut and parsley mixture.



Vicksburg Cheese Ball

"Roquefort cheese and paprika give this cheese ball its special, bold flavor.
Chopped mixed nuts form a pleasant, crunchy coating. " Original recipe yield: 3.5
cups.

1/3 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/3 (3 ounce) package Roquefort cheese
2 tablespoons paprika
1 cup chopped mixed nuts

In a medium bowl, blend the Cheddar cheese, cream cheese and Roquefort cheese with
a fork until smooth.
On a large sheet of wax paper, sprinkle paprika. Form cheese mixture into desired
shape, and roll in the paprika until covered.
Sprinkle mixed nuts on wax paper. Roll cheese mixture in mixed nuts until coated.
Place in a medium bowl between sheets of wax paper, and chill in the refrigerator
until serving.


Ruth's Roquefort Cheese Bal

"A decadent cheese ball made with blue cheese, onion and spices. Adjust the
amount of heat to suit your guests. This is perfect if you are a blue cheese
lover!" Original recipe yield: 1 cheese ball.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 ounces crumbled blue cheese
2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
3 drops hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco), or to taste
1 pinch cayenne pepper
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans

In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese and blue cheese. Blend in the
celery, onion, hot pepper sauce, and cayenne pepper. Chill overnight, or until
firm.
Roll the chilled cheese mixture into a ball, and coat with pecans. Wrap in waxed
paper, and refrigerate until serving.



Yummy Cheese Ball

"A tasty cheese and bacon cheese ball. Best served with buttery crackers."
Original recipe yield: 20 servings.

1 pound bacon
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 green onion, chopped
1 cup chopped pecans

In a large skillet fry the bacon. Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on
paper towels. Chop or break the cooled bacon into small pieces.
In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, bacon, mayonnaise, and green
onions. When mixed well, form 2 balls out of the mixture. Cover and refrigerate 3
to 4 hours, or overnight.
Before serving, roll the cheese balls in the chopped pecans.



Ultimate Cheese Ball

"This easy cheese ball is good for any occasion. The mixture may be formed into
any shape (e.g., a log, a snowman). Serve with buttery, round crackers." Original
recipe yield: 6 cups.

3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
1 (8 ounce) jar dried beef, chopped
1 cup chopped pecans

In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, green onions and dried beef. Form the
mixture into a ball. Sprinkle with pecans. Chill in the refrigerator approximately
2 hours before serving.



Easy Cheese Ball

"A delicious and easy way to enjoy a cheese ball. Serve with crackers and enjoy!
You can cut this recipe in half to make a smaller version. You could substitute
Colby, mozzarella, or Monterey Jack cheese for the Cheddar the recipe calls for."
Original recipe yield: 6 to 8 servings.

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
2 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

In a medium size bowl, mash cream cheese. Mix dressing mix and Cheddar cheese into
the cream cheese. Shape the mixture into a ball. Roll the ball in the chopped
nuts. Refrigerate covered until ready to serve. Yum!



Cheese Ball

"This is a great cheesy and flavorful appetizer for holidays or any other time.
Betcha can't eat just one as they are delicious. Great served with buttery round
crackers. Extras can be frozen." Original recipe yield: 7 balls.

1 (2 ounce) can black olives, drained and chopped
1 (4 ounce) jar diced pimento peppers, drained
8 green onions, finely chopped
1 pound butter, softened
8 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
1 cup chopped almonds or other nut

In a medium bowl, combine olives, pimentos and green onions; mix well.
Combine butter or margarine, cream cheese and blue cheese; stir in olive mixture.
Shape into balls or logs and roll in chopped nuts; serve.
