How to take out the drip pan of kitchenaid refrigerator?
I would start by replacing that water valve. It is possible that the solenoid on the ice maker side is broken. if that does not fix it then i would recommend replacement of the ice maker itself. It is the device that operates the water solenoid. Nothing else in the machine controls ice production.
