Crunchy Cabbage Slaw
From the Chronicle archives; it's best if served the day it is made. 1 head Napa or other cabbage, shredded 1/4 cup shelled sunflower seeds 1/4 cup slivered almonds 2 tablespoons chopped green onion 2 packages chicken-flavor ramen noodles, uncooked and crushed, and their 2 flavor packets 1/3 cup olive oil 1/4 cup vinegar 1/2 to 1 cup sugar, to taste In a large bowl, mix cabbage, seeds, almonds, onions and noodles. In another bowl, combine flavor-packet contents, oil, vinegar and sugar; mix well. Toss dressing with cabbage mixture. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
