Superior Sangria

1 liter red wine -- (1-3/4 pt bottle)
750 ml Champagne -- (1-1/4 pt bottle)
1 Handful cherries -- stoned
2 red apples -- cored and chopped
1 Handful grapes -- halved and deseeded

Pour into a jug, add the fruit and stir before pouring.
