Red Coconut Balls

Red Coconut Balls

1, 7 oz pkg sweetened flaked coconut
2, 3 oz packages of strawberry gelatin
1 can condensed milk (NOT evaporated )

This is so easy and tasty !

Looking for a special coconut ball recipe, I found this in my recipe
collection. It was so good, I used raspberry gelatin for the next batch
for "pink" coconut balls. I packed these in with the rum balls, each in
fluted small paper muffin cups for gift giving.. The pink and dark
confections looked good together. Your hands will turn all red or pink (
or whatever flavor/color you choose ) when you make these. But everything
came off with soap and water. Simply mix all the ingredients very well by
hand and chill mixture very well. Then form into 1 inch balls with your
hands. Wetting your hands at times will make for easier rolling. Chill the
coconut balls very well. They also freeze very nicely. These look nice
when served in those fluted paper muffin
or candy cups.

Yield: a few dozen
