Crock Pot Cassoulet
submitted by butterflydog from NY, USA 2 turkey drumsticks 3 large spicy sausage links ( could be hot or mild ) 1/2 lb ham cut in chunks 2 Tbsp olive oil 1 large onion chopped 3 carrots coarse chopped 3 cans ( 15 oz each ) white Northern beans with liquid 2 tsp chopped parsley 1 bay leaf 2 whole cloves 1 tsp fresh ground black or mixed pepper 1 tsp dried thyme 1 tsp smoked paprika or to taste 2 large garlic cloves minced 2 tsp coarse salt 1 cup water , wine or broth Brown sausage and ham in oil and cut up sausage into chunks. Place in crock pot with turkey drumsticks and remaining ingredients. Cook high 4 to 4 1/2 hours or 6 to 7 hours on low . Remove turkey drumstick from pot, debone and chunk meat and return to the pot. Remove bay leaf before serving.. Serves 6.
