Joan's Derby Pie

1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 Tbsp. bourbon
3/4 cup Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup pecans
1 unbaked pie shell, prick with fork

Cream butter and sugar. Gradually add beaten eggs, syrup, salt, and
vanilla. Slowly add chocolate chips, nuts, and bourbon. Pour into unbaked
shell and bake at 375 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
