Default American Goulash

American Goulash

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped (1 c.)
1 Tbsp. oil
1 (12 oz.) can V-8
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
5 whole allspice
1 bay leaf, crumbled
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
6 med. carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
Cooked macaroni

Brown beef and onion in oil, breaking up meat as it cooks. Stir in
remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered, stirring occasionally for 30
minutes or until carrots are tender. Serve over cooked wagon wheels or
other macaroni.
