Default Mesquite Beer

We're a few weeks from Mesquite harvest. I have a jelly/jam recipe
buried somewhere around here, and a booklet about bread and other
recipes. I thought it might make better beer, the pod being sweet to
the taste & hearty like wheat. I suppose I could go up on a beer site,
but I don't make it myself, just dreaming... Has anybody here thought
of using mesquite pod for beer?
