Default Tomatillos in the UK

Tomatillos are glorious, glorious things, but they're pretty much
unheard of in the UK. Has anyone come across a UK supplier?

I'm going to America in a couple of weeks and was thinking of getting
some seeds. How would you go about growing them in the UK, where we
have short, rubbish summers and a hell of a lot of frost in the window?
I don't have a greenhouse, but I have capacious window ledges and will
be getting a coldframe. Thanks!

If you can grow tomatoes you can grow tomitillos. Seed can be picked up and
most stores especially ones with a high Latino population i.e. the south
west. Or order them online from Burpee.com or some other seed supplier and
have them shipped to your hotel. Even if they don't show up have the hotel
forward them to you, by passing customs.

Thanks Greg - that's really helpful. I do grow tomatoes, so I hope
they'll be fine. Very excited about next year's potential for salsa!

Be prepared, however, for rampantly growing vines!
