Default Tortillas

When I buy corn tortillas, after a few days they crumble (makes no diff if
I keep them in the cupboard or refrig).

I try warming them in the microwave using a tortilla warmer but still the
same result.

I was thinking of adding a sprinkle of water, will that work? Or is there
some other method I can use to stop them from falling apart when I fold
them. I do not want to fry them.

Suggestions??

Thanks!

Splash some water on them and heat them on a griddle or over the
flame of the gas stove burner. Ido the latter.

Keep them in the 'fridge in a sealed baggie. Inside the 'fridge is
just as drying as a cupboard. I wet one hand and brush both sides of
a tortilla, then m'wave for just a few seconds to heat/soften.

Grandma Gurrerro put fresh orange peels in the bag
and stored them in the produce drawer of the fridge.
She put a little oil on a griddle and toasted them before serving.
They were always easy to fold.

It's a flat bread made with either wheat or corn flour (that's corn flour,
called masa harina in spanish, NOT corn meal). Basicaly a dough that is
pressed into a flat disk about 1/16th inch thick and quckly blistered on a
hot greased griddle.
